Boxer Adrien Broner discovered that the age-old rule of “no shoes, no shirt, no service” still applies to professional athletes, going on a bizarre, shirtless tirade against a McDonald’s employee during a recent trip to the fast food giant.

The spat, which Broner shared on his Instagram story, appeared to begin over none other than spit, the former welterweight titleholder repeatedly warning workers to avoid messing with his meal.

"Y'all better not spit in my ----,” he repeated to workers through the drive-through window, an unidentified pal laughing along.

Though it’s unclear why, exactly, the boxer was so concerned about taking a loogie to his fries, he decided to speak with staffers more directly, barging into the restaurant, where he proceeded to berate two employees standing behind the counter.

“Who cooked this, my boy?” he asked, meal in hand. But as he demanded that he “check” his “s—t” in front of the workers, one employee cut him off, attempting to kick him out over his lack of a shirt.

“You need a shirt to be in here,” she said, a response that appeared to only fuel Broner’s rage.

“Relax, my boy,” he told the employee.

“You relax,” she fired back, before threatening to call the police.

“Man, I'm not worrying about no cops,” he said, before telling an off-camera worker that he would “come grab you back there.”

So take it from Broner’s near run-in with the authorities: Sometimes it’s better to keep the fighting to the ring.
