Though Fall Out Boy may have "cast a spell over the west to make you think of me the same way I think about you,” it appears there is one thing they absolutely can not spell — the word “annihilation.”
A document purporting to be the band’s set list from their performance in Milan on Friday began making the rounds on Twitter last weekend, one that notably included the song "Baby Annihilation" from their latest album So Much (For) Stardust.
But just because the emo quartet opted to play the song during the European leg of their So Much For (2our) Dust tour, doesn’t mean they know how to spell it, the track appearing as “Baby Annhialation” alongside other (properly spelled) hits, including “Phoenix” and “16 Candles.”
“The saga of Fall Out Boy being incapable of spelling continues bc what the heck is ‘annhialation,’” Twitter fanpage @fobbieupdates captioned a snap of the offending setlist.

The Twitter page’s moderator, however, was far from alone in lacking surprise that Fall Out Boy managed to lose a spelling bee by their own design.
“They will never spell it right I fear,” wrote @effytjones.
Meanwhile, others noted that the band also flubbed the title of their song “G.I.N.A.S.F.S.,” instead, writing “GINAFAS.”
“I’ve been doing editing most of my work life and really want to help them out on all this,” offered @RebelRoseYell.
But hey, it could be worse: As @_limefruit so aptly observed, “at least it's not cenuries.”
