Sites like Moteefe allow users to sell shirts with custom designs, but they don't often check for the original source.
Twitter user @Hannahdouken got a bright idea for a little prank. It's a common practice for t-shirt sites to use art from bots that crawl through twitter. The bot-makers find artwork people want on shirts– and then make the art into a shirt, and pocket all of the profits.
Hannah's idea was to call these companies out through their own process–
