Despite existing in the hundreds of millions — one person with testicles produces 200-300 million sperm per day — and serving as the punchline to every 20-something dudes' favorite jokes, semen has long been a mysterious substance ... or so we thought. Despite its comical nature, semen is as fascinating as it is funny, embodying how, exactly, humans have managed to stick around on Earth for this long.
