wtf
Elon Musk's Vegas loop joining the Resorts World casino complex and convention center is now operational, and the tech TikToker ecomross gave it a go. Spoiler alert, it should just be a train.
According to Ross, the Tesla ride saves about a 15 to 20 minute walk, and people seem to be fans of the "happy rainbow lights." Other than that, the loop looks like a glorified taxi service being used as an inefficient subway. The Teslas are not driverless, and people are forced to ride in cars with other passengers like a ride-share. If only there were a way to move many more people at once at much greater speeds through a tunnel. One comment asks, "What if we connected the cars and put them on extremely low-friction fixed guideways?"
It turns out that the solution to urban traffic is the same as it has been for decades, and some egotistical billionaire's brand plug still can't hold a candle to trains and busses.
