The French Police have been given a near-impossible task this Olympics: working.

I’m only joking, of course — we all remember how delightfully they’ve bashed protesters’ skulls over the past few years. But still, the Olympics represents a significant security threat to the country, resulting in Paris importing cops from places like Qatar to ensure their streets are well-patrolled ahead of and during the Games.

That said, not all of these police have been given the “fun” jobs of guarding the athletes. Instead, some have been armed and told to set out on the streets… to move ducks off the tracks for the cyclists. It’s better than nothing, I guess.
