If you have ever been to an air show, or monster truck show, you know it is loud, it is exciting, and there is always the potential for an accident to happen, sometimes one that results in tragedy. As these spectators watched on, Chris Darnell who was driving a jet powered truck was racing two airplanes down the runway. There appears to be a planned explosion as part of the stunt and it is unclear exactly what went wrong but as the truck continues racing down the runway you see it burst into flames as it twists and tumbles down the pavement before eventually coming to a stop. Rescue crews promptly make their way to the scene to assess the damage and administer aid.

Battle Creek Police said one person died after an accident occurred Saturday, July 2 at the Battle Creek Air Show. Video from Michael Mullet shows the incident.
