This might be the first time the words "pit maneuver" and "tractor" have appeared in the same sentence, and yet somehow those two facts are the least strange facts from this story. 

Canadian mounties were filmed performing a "pit maneuver" on a fleeing tractor on Saturday while driving westbound on Highway 1 near Surrey, B.C.

Authorities said the man behind the tractor was “possibly involved" in an anti-SOGI protest, which opposes “the elimination of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) curriculum, pronouns, gender ideology, and mixed bathrooms.”

Footage of the maneuver was caught from multiple angles by multiple people driving down the motorway. 

Police only initiated the maneuver after the tractor came into contact with one of their vehicles. The man behind the wheel was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital. 

Let this be your reminder that if you're in an off-road vehicle leading police on a "high speed" chase, maybe try your luck off-road.
